Beloved indie-folk trio Wild Rivers, comprised of Khalid Yassein (guitar, vocals, keys), Devan Glover (vocals), and Andrew Oliver (lead guitar, synths) have finally answered the calls of their devoted Australian fans with their very first tour down under slated for in March 2025.
After years of anticipation, the band is bringing their captivating live show to Brisbane, Sydney and Melbourne, for what is sure to be an unforgettable run of headline shows. Australian fans have been eagerly awaiting the arrival of Wild Rivers since the band released their self titled debut album in 2016 with both Sydney and Melbourne ranked in the band’s Top 5 most listenedto cities globally on Spotify.
Their single Thinking 'Bout Love, from 2020’s Songs To Break Up To EP was certified Platinum in Australia just two months after its release in March 2022 and is just about to hit an incredible 144 million streams. While the bands total global streams have achieved a phenomenal 850 million!
“We’ve been getting so many messages from our Aussie fans begging us to come over,” says Khalid Yassein. “It feels like the perfect time to bring our music to Australia. We’ve wanted this for a long time, and we’re beyond excited to meet everyone and share these songs in person.”The tour follows the recent release of Wild Rivers’ third album Never Better in July of this year which has been incredibly followed up just months later with the October release of Better Now, an album that the band describe as 'the more emo, sentimental sister to Never Better.’ Both albums were recorded in Joshua Tree, California, with producer Gabe Wax (Soccer Mommy, Adrienne Lenker).
Known for their introspective lyrics, rich harmonies, and genre fluid sound, Wild Rivers have crafted an impressive catalogue that blends indie, folk, rock, and pop into deeply emotional, resonant songs. The last 18 months have been the bands biggest so far and saw them perform on CBS Mornings Saturday Sessions, receive a JUNO Award nomination for Breakthrough Group of the Year, support The Chicks on 12 dates on their 2023 US amphitheater tour and open for Noah Kahan in the UK & Europe. The Everywhere We Go World Tour, which kicked off last month in Philadelphia, will see the band performing sold out shows across the US, Canada, UK and Ireland before making their way to Australia.
Don’t miss Wild Rivers' debut Australian tour, an unforgettable experience full of soaring melodies and heartfelt performances.
