Adelaide's very own MACËY and JesseMelancholy join forces to bring you SCENE QUEENZ 2 ADL, the stirring sequel to the event that celebrates the unique sounds of Australia's emerging Anti-Pop scene, with this round combining the flavours Pop, Alt-Pop, Hyperpop, Punk Rock & Electronica.

Headlining act JesseMelancholy, preceded by MACËY, will be supported by local artists Tycarni, Aloe Vittoria, Jackulson and Xenura.

JesseMelancholy [POP/ALT-POP/HYPERPOP] celebrates his newest single “Wings”, bringing infectious Pop earworms, lyrical vulnerability and lush production, culminating in an equally endearing and captivating performance.

MACËY [HYPERPOP/NU-METAL/INDIE/GRUNGEGAZE] is a 3-piece band that has garnered a reputation in the scene for their dynamic and larger-than-life shows. MACËY sets fly by at a breakneck pace, indulging the audience in heart-throbbing Pop ballads and hardcore breakdowns. The band celebrates their newest single “Burn It Down”, crushing listeners with both metallic grit and electronic textures.

Tycarni [ALT-POP] is a singer-songwriter based in Adelaide (Kaurna) whose music has an edgy, vulnerable, 90s-inspired indie sound. With a wide array of inspirations ranging from Grimes to Pavement, her music describes her feelings with an enticing sound and heartfelt lyrics. The solo artist’s performance will be backed by her band.

Aloe Vittoria [ALT-POP/HYPERPOP/ROCK] is an Adelaide-based artist who was one of the first musicians to discover you could make music on a laptop. Graduating from the Conservatorium with a Bachelor of Hyperpop in late 2023, Aloe Vittoria has shot to the top and has gained almost a hundred monthly Spotify listeners. The solo artist’s performance will be backed by a band, blending hyperpop, punk and alternative rock.

Jackulson [CHILLWAVE/80s GOTH ROCK/CLOUD RAP/DNB] is an Adelaide artist creating mystic and emotional Pop music. His recent album “Crystal Swingset” brings to life his Hyper-Goth vision with detailed production and yearning, cryptic vocal performances.

Xenura [ELECTRONICA/PSYBASS] returns to the live scene with an immersive and colourful set of all-original works, including some manipulated material from the headliner act. Indulge in a journey that starts one place and ends in another as it ventures through the many different forms of electronic music; showcasing the artist’s maximalist approach of layered synthesis, complex processing, deep basslines, and beats that cut through all.
