Questlove’s career has taken him across the world’s stages with artists like D’Angelo, Common, Jill Scott, Erykah Badu, Jay-Z, Amy Winehouse as well as being a founding member of Hip-hop royalty, The Roots. But when he points to his most beloved musical contribution, “it’s not drumming in the world’s funkiest group, not being on late night TV, my first love is records”.

For Questlove, DJing isn’t just a side gig, it’s like a lifeline. An avid record collector and crate digger, his encyclopaedic knowledge that spans genres and pop-culture references allows him to craft sets tailored uniquely to each room, “manipulating you emotionally through your memories."
