Mad Caddies
Mad Caddies come to Hobart
Australian rocksteady rebels, renegades, and raconteurs: Mad Caddies are headed your way with special guests Ess-Em! This December, the band that brought you bangers like Road Rash and Drinking for 11 will be ripping up the South East, from Brisbane to Adelaide.
Recently signed to SBAM Records with a new lineup that includes drummer Sean Sellers (Good Riddance, Pulley, etc.) and guitarist Brandon Landelius (Authority Zero), this is the Caddies' first tour in TEN years! After all this time, the band are ready to provide us with the famous ska punk sounds that only a band that has sold over 500,000 records and produced six studio albums can.
Influenced from a broad range of genres including ska (especially ska 3rd wave), punk rock, hardcore punk, reggae, dixieland jazz, Latin music, polka, even cowpunk (Crew Cut Chuck) and sea shanties (Weird Beard) – fans are encouraged to check out their poppy and polished album of covers, Punk Rocksteady, produced by the infamous Fat Mike of NOFX fame. It's a record that gives long-time fans what they want while also putting a new spin on old favourites, set to make any alternative music lover a fan of the band and the sound they've perfected over the last two decades.
Support from Ess-Em & Sword Bros from 9.30pm.
