Wollongong four-piece Lizzie Jack and the Beanstalks are back with their latest raw indie-rock banger ahead of their festival debut at Yours & Owls in October. 

Recorded and produced by Owen Butcher at Studio 301 (Gang of Youths, Birds of Tokyo, Middle Kids) ‘Dumb Decisions’ is a song about the risky act of getting romantically involved with a friend.

The song is the first release under the new band lineup featuring new drummer Paul Pozzachio (The Huneez) alongside vocalist Lizzie Jack, lead guitarist Alex Fordyce and bassist Jayke Beckett, and takes musical inspiration from artists ranging from Violent Soho, Cry Club to The All-American Rejects, with lyrical storytelling akin to Suzi and The Smith Street Band.

The song has been described as ‘lyrically, their best yet’** with its relatable portrayal of sharehouse living, drunken nights, situationships and friends-to-lovers storylines.
