Efficient Space Presents
Keanu Nelson [Papunya/Warumpi] + The Green Child + Flame J
Keanu Nelson heads to Naarm for a headline show at The Night Cat on Thursday 8 May. From the remote community of Papunya, northwest of Alice Springs, the Luritja artist crafts revelatory audio portraits of place.
Performing with producer Yuta Matsumura (Th Blisks, The Lewers), Nelson will present material from his 2023 album Wilurarrakutu and the follow-up 7” Place Where I Go - a fusion of Luritja and English language, grounded storytelling, skeletal electronics, and humid melodica dub.
He’s joined on the night by psych-pop futurists The Green Child and the mystery rumblings of Flame J.
We acknowledge that this event will be held on Wurundjeri land of the Kulin Nation and recognise that sovereignty was never ceded. We pay our respects to their Elders, past, present and emerging.
