House On Fire is bringing you another night of good vibes and live music right in the centre

of the city. "Femme Fronted" is a night to celebrate some of Sydney most talented rising

stars; DEVAURA, Yasmina Sadiki and Rem & The Starshine.

With a lineup that stretches from Jazz to Neo Soul all the way to Rap it's a night you won't

want to miss.

DEVAURA

Born in Aotearoa, and based in Eora, DEVAURA burst onto the music scene in 2023 with a

commitment to reinvigorating storytelling and world-building.

Known for her powerful vocals as a singer and fierce bars as a rapper, the versatile artist has

become a favourite in the local music scene, turning industry heads.

 She recently celebrated being named a ‘Triple J unearthed 2024 Draft Pick’,  receiving the

2024 Acclaim Magazine x PUMA Wildcard Award, alongside her successful 2024 BIG

SOUND debut.

Overcoming significant challenges as a queer, first-generation immigrant and formerly

houseless, DEVAURA's resilience shines in her music.

Yasmina Sadiki

Yasmina Sadiki is a Sydney based, established live performer and independent artist

pioneering a fresh look into the possibilities of Jazz and Neo-Soul through her passion for

the art. Growing up in Canterbury, over the years she has connected with many producers,

artists and musicians from Sydney and beyond. 

Yasmina has deep love for improvisation and freestyling, she with her live band which

alternate between a range of different instruments, creates a seductively magical

experience. “Lengthy explorations into jazz, hip hop and soul, intricate and dense. There’s a

sense of impending menace that pervades it all and makes it positively cinematic, her music

bringing light to the darkest of corners”. 

Yasmina aspires to challenge the scene with a raw but poetic window into her life. Her

insightful lyrical expression and nuanced vocal technique whisking us away into her world,

creating something genuine and mesmerising.

Rem & the Starshine

Rem & the starshine are a 4 piece experimental neo-soul band who met through Sydney’s

eclectic jam scene.  Drawing from a myriad of genres they’ve created soulful soundscapes,

playful writing and grounding moods.
