The Night Cat Proudly Presents for its 30th Birthday Celebrations:

A Very Cinematic Night Cat Double Feature... with GODTET +Strings & The RAah Project

GODTET +Strings

Guitarist and Producer Godriguez (producer of Sampa the Great's “The Great Mixtape") marshaled together some of the best musicians of the new generation in Sydney: A head priest of the Cuban Ifa religion, the step-son of Australia’s greatest ever funk and soul musician, Australia's leading drummer in this new generation and a deeply emotionally gifted pianist from New Zealand. These disparate backgrounds culminate with incredibly sensitive musical and emotional connections to form GODTET.

Godtet's latest feat was an expansion of +String for a full orchestra (composed and arranged by Novak Manojlovic) for The Sydney Symphony Orchestra - supporting Ngaiire to a SOLD OUT Sydney Opera House Concert Hall.

The RAah Project

The RAah Project is a collaboration between Melbourne based vocalist/composer/producer Ryan Ritchie and violinist/composer Tamil Rogeon. Taken on as a means to musically investigate the grey areas between genres and express themselves through writing and performance, The Raah Project explores classical, jazz, hip-hop, electronica and drum n bass, utilising the emotional weight of the full orchestra and modern electronic and jazz performance to present music that is both modern, accessable and emotional. It is an original contemporary music project embracing both traditional and new principles of jazz improvisation and arrangement plus 20th century composition, song, verse and flow.

We acknowledge that this event will be held on Wurundjeri land of the Kulin Nation and recognise that sovereignty was never ceded. We pay our respects to their Elders, past, present and emerging.
