Flower Extract Single Launch | Live at Brunswick Artist Bar with Sam Darcy Band and Zoe Baker

Tasmanian exports Flower Extract return to the mainland to celebrate the release of new material from their upcoming sophomore EP. They will be joined by local legends Sam Darcy Band and Zoe Baker. 

Hailing from the east coast of lutruwita/Tassie, Flower Extract are a distinctly vandemonian indie-psych-rock quartet who now operate between nipaluna/Hobart and naarm/Melbourne. Musically they create a sound that is unique yet familiar, and have a reputation for energetic, spontaneous, and occasionally nonsensical live shows.

On the streets they are known for their C-grade stage banter, B-grade indie-psych-rock, and A-grade friendship. Their typically Tasmanian, heads-screwed-on approach has seen them release a swath of music (including a 14 track extended edition of their debut EP - Natural Press); play some notable sets at festivals like Party in the Paddock, The Great Escape, A Festival Called George, and Bonzaki; and support mainlanders like The Grogans and Johnny Hunter.

They now turn their attention to bigger fish, with a list of 2025 new year resolutions including - release some more music, play some more shows, self actualisation, and learn how to make coffee like they do in Melbourne. In conclusion - “mum reckons we sound like the 80’s, but just the good bits”.
