CRUCIFORM
 Returning to The Vanguard stage following their memorable headlining show in 2022, Sydney Death-Doom pioneers Cruciform’s signature sound balances crushing riffs and hypnotic atmosphere. 

Since their reformation in 2012, the band have been chosen to play alongside such major international acts as Immolation, Paradise Lost and Incantation. 

Expect to hear a mixture of classic tracks and powerful new material on the night, as the band builds up to the release of their long awaited new album.

ANARAZEL
 Formed in the mid 1990s, Melbourne unholy black metal cult Anarazel have been resurrected after a 14 year hiatus, featuring current and former members of bands such as Abominator, Draconis Infernum, Cemetery Urn, Malichor and AK-11.

Now after 2 years of festival appearances and headlining shows around Melbourne, a new full length album ‘Our Dark Lord & Saviour’ is in the final stages of production & will be unleashed at The Vanguard when the band make their first Sydney live appearance since 2006.

Anarazel's sophomore album promises to redefine the genre with a relentless dual vocal attack, and a hellish onslaught of unholy artillery.  ‘Our Dark Lord & Saviour’ takes Australian Black Metal to a new level and stamps it with an exclamation mark. 10 tracks to blacken even the purest hearts! The album will be released on Adirondack Black Mass records (US).

THE VEIL
 Back at The Vanguard after their successful show last year with Cruciform and more recently with Unto Others from the USA, The Veil's distinctive sound draws from both Peaceville Doom and Post-Punk gloom, with elements of Black Metal, Shoegaze and dark folk. 

The band has shared stages with Alcest, Anathema, Uriah Heep, and Nazxul among others, and also made an appearance at the cult Dublin Doom Days festival in Ireland.

Along with selections from previous releases, The Veil will be previewing a number of new songs written since their return, as the long awaited 3rd album draws nearer.

MALIGNANT AURA
 Following the release on Bitter Loss Records in 2022 of their pitch black debut album “Abysmal Misfortune Is Draped Upon Me”, supported by a run of memorable live appearances around the country, Malignant Aura make their return to Sydney. 

Accompany the Brisbane and Melbourne based purveyors of death and doom, as they enact a grand, aural exultation of emptiness.

HORRISONOUS
 Horrisonous deliver aural slime, decay and misery by means of the ageless brand of Death Metal that´s equally ponderous, crushing and fervent, enhanced with slithering tempos and influenced by the likes of Bolt Thrower, Asphyx, Autopsy, Death, early Paradise Lost, Celtic Frost, Carcass, Dismember and Incantation.

The band are currently working on the follow up to their 2019 debut album 'A Culinary Cacophony', which promises to be an even filthier and more depraved offering than the last.
