Tribute night with Sydney based 11 piece band

For the first time at ‘The Night Cat’ a very special evening to celebrate the ground breaking ‘Buena Vista Social Club’ albums and artists.

This will be an unforgettable performance of traditional Cuban music with an 11 piece Sydney based band comprised of some of Australia’s best Latin music musicians.

Following sellout shows in Sydney & Melbourne in 2022, 2023 & 2024 the ‘Buena Vista Social Club tribute’ will bring to the Night Cat a special tribute featuring well-known songs from the ‘Buena Vista Social Club’ artists, Ibrahim Ferrer, Compay Segundo, Ruben Gonzalez, Omara Portuondo & Eliades Ochoa.

Formed in 1996, ‘The Buena Vista Social Club’ was a musical ensemble made up of older Cuban musicians whose eponymous studio album released in 1997, quickly becoming an international success.

‘The Buena Vista Social Club tribute’ night will be a memorable experience, re-creating the authentic sounds of traditional Cuban music and paying tribute to these Cuban music legends.

We acknowledge that this event will be held on Wurundjeri land of the Kulin Nation and recognise that sovereignty was never ceded. We pay our respects to their Elders, past, present and emerging.
