Event Details

The Battle of the ROCK Bands is an annual school Rock band performance festival organised and hosted by Clairvaux MacKillop College at Upper Mt Gravatt. In early October 2024, we had 30 individual High School bands performing over three nights. In conjunction with The Triffid, we are delighted to offer the winning Most Outstanding Band from each night the opportunity to perform live at The Triffid. The judges also have awarded a fourth "Wildcard" performance spot for the evening to play at The Triffid.

The winning performing bands appearing at The Triffid in 2024 are the wildcard entry P.I.M.P. (Wynnum State High School), and the Most Outstanding Band winners from each of the three nights: The Oranges (San Sisto College), Exit 24 (John Paul College), and The Royals (Mt Maria College Mitchelton). A great night of musical performances is guaranteed.
