It's been an enthusiastic entry into the music scene for self-proclaimed slow mover, Angie McMahon. Angie released her first single Slow Mover late last year to an outpour of support from like-minded fans and industry who have found themselves relating to the music Angie is creating.
The first single 'Slow Mover' made a triple j Hottest 100 debut, landing at #33, whilst also garnering support in the online world - receiving almost 2 million plays on Spotify and features on Apple Music.
Angie's music has connected globally to blogs, publications, regional and community radio, as well as receiving high rotation on triple j , triple j Unearthed , SYN and FBi and attracting the interest of a loyal (and global) audience.
Since deciding to pursue music full time, Angie has secured supports with Father John Misty, The Jezabels, Gretta Ray, The Teskey Brothers, Meg Mac, Alex Lahey, Meg Mac, The Shins, Alanis Morissette and Angus & Julia Stone. Angie has entered the local festival circuit being booked on NYE on the Hill , Australian Open, Secret Garden Festival, Laneway Festival and more to be announced.
After touring extensively both locally and with some international shows on the horizon, Angie and her band are humbled to be playing these iconic venues while Angie finishes recording her debut album.
2018 will see Angie unleash a string of new singles in the lead up to playing The Corner Hotel and Oxford Art Factory in July this year.
