Showcasing the incredible talents of Maz Mazak, No Qualms, Amanda Easton, Tansy Mayhew, Sally London and the Soul Messengers, these musicians will entertain you for a worthy cause, and all profits will go to the wonderful charity, The McGrath Foundation.
Artist Bios
Maz Mazak
"Sydney-based singer-songwriter Maz Maz k has soul down to the very core of her being. Embracing contemporary grooves and a seductive sound that grows on you - where the more you listen the more you like." - Cream Magazine
Maz is known for her signature smooth soulful vocals over electronic beats.
Her first recording Soul Tripping was inspired after a writing trip to the US in the City of Soul, Detroit where she recorded in the late R&B singer Aaliyah's old family home. Her debut single, Where Ya Hidin', was played on Rage and spun on radio stations across Australia and the US.
Since coming back to Australia, Maz has performed unplugged with her beloved keyboard and in her one woman sound system set-up, and with DJ's all across Australia. She has entertained at iconic venues such as The Basement and The Sydney Opera House and has held residencies at The Zeta Bar, The Opera Bar, Palmer & Co, Hugo's, and The Double Bay Street Festival where she is also the Director of Entertainment and MC's on the day.
Maz is co-owner of A Billion Beats and will MC the event and perform in-between the acts over the course of the A Billion Beats Benefit Concert.
No Qualms
No Qualms has been DJing around Sydney for the past 10 years. He loves to spin Hip-Hop, R&B and the many faces of Modern Funk and House. But he doesn't just live underground, understanding the power of Pop he regularly drops Top 40 hits to keep the dance floors jumping.
Alongside this he is a Record Producer, Sound Engineer, Song Writer and Performing Artist. He has had songs released by artists the likes of D.I.G (Directions In Groove) (AUS) & The Wu Tang Clan (USA). He has also done remixes for E40, Juicy J, Ty Dolla $ign, Styles P, Xzibit, B-Real, Takuya Kuroda, Hopsin, Jessi Malay, Umphrey's McGee & Foster The People.
No Qualms is co-owner of A Billion Beats and will DJ in-between the acts over the course of the A Billion Beats Benefit Concert.
Amanda Easton

With influences ranging from the sequinned splendour of the '70s, through the moody dance grooves of the '90s to the sexy beats of trip hop, Amanda Easton creates a post modern discoteque experience with her well-crafted pop tunes and soaring voice. She's released two albums and two EPS and 2 of her singles appearing in the top 10 of the independent Aussie charts. Her music videos and live performances have graced Aussie television screens including 'MTV'.
She has performed in prestigious venus throughout Australia from the Entertainment Centre to 5 Star Hotels, major clubs and regular appearances at the iconic Basement at Circular Quay and the Taronga Zoo Twilight Series. She has also done stints in Japan, Bali, Malaysia, Noumea as well as toured throughout Europe.
Tansy Mayhew

Soulful, powerful, with an echo of jazz, Tansy has been singing since she could blink & writing songs since she was 8. Her blue eyed soul has wowed audiences at festivals like the Blues & Roots Festival, Mardi Gras Fair Day and the Food & Wine Fair. She has performed at venues all over Sydney, from the Opera Bar to the Metro and the ICC & shared the stage with some of Sydney's favourite corporate acts - Doug Williams & the Mix, Noel Elmowy, The Smooth Groove Band, & Twology.
Sally London

Jazz singer/songwriter and multi instrumentalist Sally London's music is regularly aired across community radio in Australia, the USA and Canada. Her original songs have been featured on the Qantas in-flight Radio playlist, various compilation albums released in Australia and two of her singles were ranked number 2 and 5 on the Indie Singles charts in the USA and Canada. Sally has released 3 studio albums. Her version of "Perhaps, Perhaps, Perhaps" was released by EMI in Europe on a jazz compilation album alongside Dusty Springfield, Cilla Black, Eartha Kitt, Nancy Wilson and Dean Martin. The song charted on the Greece Jazz Music Chart.
Sally has been steadily making her mark as a songwriter with finalist placements and awards in the Great American Song Contest, the Music Oz Australian Independent Music Awards, the International Song Of The Year contest and the Australian Songwriting Competition.
Sally recently returned with rave reviews from opening for the second time the Tangier International Jazz Festival in Morocco, and has captivated audiences at the Venetian Casino in Macau China, Newcastle Jazz Festival, Dubbo Jazz Festival, the Sydney Multicultural Festival, Every Woman Festival, River Rhythms Concert Series at Sydney Olympic Park, the Transformal at the Carrington Hotel Ballroom, the Double Bay Street Festival, Kings Cross Festival, the Gold Coast Jazz and Blues Club and Sydney's iconic music venues including the Star City Casino, the Basement, Sydney Opera Bar, Slide, Blue Beat and the Vanguard.
Soul Messengers

Soul revivalists, Soul Messengers, are back in 2017 with a new album. Both of their studio albums, 2013's 'I'm Alive', and 2015's 'Dirty Soul' garnered great reviews and nationwide radio play, with 'Dirty Soul' reaching #12 on the Australian Blues and Roots chart and featuring as Sydney Jazz and Blues radio station Eastside Radio's album of the week.
Soul Messengers present a dynamite live show honed at regular gigs in Sydney and surrounds, the band having played over 85 shows since 2014 at venues such as Marrickville's Lazybones, Newtown's Leadbelly and Sydney's The Basement. In addition to performing regular shows Soul Messengers have been added to the Double Bay Street Festival and The Northern Beaches Music Festival in multiple consecutive years. Add in past residencies at Enmore's Vic on the Park, Marrickville's Gasoline Pony and Newtown's Botany View Hotel and you have one of Sydney's most booked originals bands.
