The Night Packers are finally ready to start workin’ and play their debut show supported by close pals Fret.

The Night Packers - featuring ex-members of Tactics, The Shorts of Jordan and Bathurst Easter Races – are honoured to play their debut show at the 125yr old Petersham Bowling Club.  The Night Packers play new wave, post-punk, Indie Rock of the finest kind.  The band has energy, attitude, bounce and swing!  Some influences are The Velvet Underground, Television, Go-Betweens, Husker Du and Tav Falco’s Panther Burns.  But there’s a whole lot more goin’ on besides.  Be there to find out.  And prepare to be engaged – this is truly a band for drinkin’, thinkin’ AND dancin’!

Outstanding support on the night will come from those involuntary recluses of the Sydney post-punk non-scene FRET, who bring a scent of tangerine to the city's sub-grime intrigue. From the Mountains to the rolling waves and north to the Hunter, the Coke sign to the village of Marricks, the dust invariably settles in an Inner West full-body shuffle. You can almost taste it on the falling leaves.

The Night Packers – 8.00pm-9.00pm

Fret – 7.00-8.00pm
