The Misty Mornings is what happens when Melbourne’s own Kelsey Jean and Evan Jones combine forces, acoustic guitars, and a shared obsession with 60s/70s folk music. Think intricate fingerpicking, lush harmonies, and the kind of songs that make you want to brew a cup of tea, stare out a window, and maybe write a letter to someone you miss.

Kelsey brings the heartfelt storytelling and dreamlike melodies, while Evan offers a healthy dose of laid-back charm and a deep love for music your dad probably played on long car rides. Together, they make folk music that’s warm, wistful, and just a little bit magical—like finding an old cassette tape in a drawer labeled “good stuff.”

If you like harmonies that feel like a hug, acoustic guitars that sound like they were recorded in a sunlit lounge room, and songs that balance between nostalgia and something new, The Misty Mornings might be your new favourite thing.
