Duke of George presents
The Jazz Violin! with Emily Gelineau, featuring Simone Craddock
A regular of the Jazz scene in Perth, playing often at the Duke of George with the amazing Sassafras, incredible Jessie Gordon and country band Honky Tonk Heroes, violinist Emily Gelineau is back this time with her own fantastic band to present the wonder and beauty that is, the Jazz Violin.
Whether it’s Gypsy Jazz that you enjoy, the sweetness of the violin with some gorgeous ballads, or fast fancy finger work that’ll see steam come off the strings, Emily takes you on a journey of the history of this beautiful instrument in jazz.
Come and hear the stories and songs of Stephane Grappeli, Joe Venuti, Didier Lockwood, Jean Luc Ponty and many others. Emily is joined by iconic Perth jazz musicians Pete Jeavons on bass, Pete Evans on Drums, Kristian Borring on Guitar and superstar vocalist Simone Craddock that will serenade you with her charisma and stunning voice.
This will be a night to remember. Expect a few broken bow hairs!
