Jessie Gordon is no stranger to the darker side of jazz. Join her for a thrilling speakeasy adventure featuring the filthiest of vintage tunes. In a surprise twist, Jessie is also an aficionado of the gospel music of this same era, so she’s presenting one set of each!

Jessie is joined by Harry Mitchell for this this rip-roaring evening. The first set will be beautiful, soul stirring gospel and the second set will be an hour of musical pleasure, where there are more filthy songs about drinking, thinking and fine dining than you can poke a stick at, and none of them are safe for regular consumption. 

Jessie and Harry breathe new life into the iconic music of Mahalia Jackson, Sister Rosetta Tharpe, Ray Charles and Dorothy Love Coates and then swing into the songs of Blossom Dearie, Wynonie Harris, Bessie Smith, Nina Simone and Duke Ellington.
