The PERTH BLUES CLUB presents

The Blues Divas Christmas in July Show

Originally billed as a one-off-show, but back by popular demand: The Blues Divas Show Curated by “Boss” & Big Al’s Blues Sessions brings together 4 of Perth’s top female vocalists backed by four of Perth’s fav blues musicians. This is a show you won’t want to miss, guaranteed to have your toes tapping while simultaneously your hairs standing on end, along with laughing and crying all at once. Our four singers each with their own style within the wonderful Blues genre will stir your emotions as well as your dance moves.

Harry Deluxe rather likes Kale. She even thinks it is perfectly reasonable to eat said green leafy vegetable in smoothies. She believes that you can make friends with salad. Harry has a tendency to trip, fall, knock things over and drop things – which is now, in her house at least – called ‘doing a Harry’. This does not accord with her partner’s belief that wine is sacred and should not be spilled (see Melanie Bainbridge). Harry sings because she can’t not. Music is medicine, therapy and solace for Harry. She loves to support local, original music – and can often be found in the audience at gigs, keeping music live and local.

KNiKi Saleeba has a voice that effortlessly traverses the spectrum from tender melodies to fiery intensity, She  has etched a distinctive mark in the realm of blues.  Collaborating on a quartet of acclaimed albums alongside the likes of John Meyer and Mike Beale, she has solidified her reputation as an artist of remarkable versatility and depth. Her musical adventures have taken her to major festivals across Australia, and overseas, from Tasmania to the stages of New Zealand, India, Nepal, Thailand and back, captivating audiences and creating an immersive experience that transcends the ordinary. Whether she's pouring raw emotion into a blues ballad or setting the stage ablaze with a rock anthem, KNiKi's performances are a celebration of music's purest essence. Her ability to push boundaries and redefine genres is a testament to her unwavering commitment to artistic exploration.

Kyra Bee has been chipping away and slowly finding her way in the WA music scene for some time now. Starting out as a child prodigy she was always destined to be on stage blowing audiences away. Covering everything from heart pounding soulful ballads to up tempo Rock n Roll tunes and blues classics, she always delivers with passion, from Etta James to Big Mama Thornton Kyra has the pipes to cover them all. Currently fronting The Illegals, Kyra has dabbled in other genres like Rockabilly while fronting Miss B & The Brocken hearts, played in rock duo’s and guest spots with the likes of Jack Lowrie and Tommy “Boss” Bosson & The Score

Peta Lee needs no introduction on the Perth, WA, or Australian scene. She has fronted some top-notch bands over the years and all with her own distinctive vibe. Covering a variety of genres, she is probably best known for her Jump, Swing and shuffle Blues, fronting the Fantastic Band, The Vibrolators. Popular at some of Australia’s biggest and best-known festivals, Pete can grab a crowd and drag them in whether they wanted to be or not. With powerful vocals that can create heart crushing emotion and then in another song have you singing along like nobody else is listening she always delivers.

The Band: Big Al James (Guitar/Vocals), Hank Deberitz (Bass), Yugon Chobanoff (Drums), Tommy “Boss” Bosson (Harmonica/vocals).
