Sweeney launches his fifth studio album 'Corporeal' (out now on Sound in Silence/Observable Universe). This will be a night of electronica, noise, haunting sounds and deep beats.

Sweeney is launching his fifth studio album 'Corporeal' (recently reaching #8 on the AIR Independent Albums) with an all-star line up of local and interstate artists.

Queer artist, electronic composer and singer Sweeney (based on Kaurna Country in SA) brings a powerful minimalist solo performance to the stage working with samples, processed vocals, fractured beats and immersive soundscapes. His music and songs take influence from such artists and vocalists as Scott Walker, Thom Yorke, Keeley Forsyth, Nick Cave and Diamanda Galás.

In 2021 Sweeney released a 20 year retrospective of his soundtrack work on the double vinyl release "Decades: 2001-2021" of which Cyclic Defrost wrote: "These stately pieces of electronic ambience are so well constructed, so minimal and self assured that you start to wonder if there is anything Sweeney couldn’t do.”

With Sweeney's various projects he has collaborated and performed with, and alongside, members of Underground Lovers (AUS), FourPlay (AUS), Zephyr Quartet (AUS), Sia Ahmad (AUS) and Hood (UK). A mini electronic music festival of sorts, this will be a jam-packed night of haunting sounds and deep danceable beats.
