With the weather heating up, we figured it was the perfect time for our next Zen & The Art of House instalment, this time we are pulling out the Funktion-One soundsystem for an open-air Terrace Party featuring international heavyweights Soul Clap (USA) and Murphy’s Law (UK) on headliner duties. If our previous Zen & The Art of House parties are anything to go off, this is one event you won’t want to miss!

Since their intergalactic journey began, Soul Clap has released three albums, curated editions of DJ Kicks, Fabric and Watergate mix series’ and collaborated with some of the greatest: George Clinton, Nona Hendryx, Louie Vega. They also run Soul Clap Records, a home for all things funky, and host the touring party and label ‘House Of EFUNK’.

Now, continuing the journey from space to Earth, growing deeper roots for community and environment, Soul Clap strives to be more and more intentional with each action. Working towards making music and inspiring positive change and strengthening ecosystems all over.

Joining the guys from Soul Clap we have Sonny and Finn Murphy, the bubbling creative force behind Murphy’s Law, a dynamic duo of two brothers from Leicester who come from a music-centric background and have been making music together, as Murphy’s Law, for over half a decade.

Their productions and DJ performances embrace a diverse range of House, Tech House, and everything in between, with groove and soul at the precipice of everything they do. Not an act to be pigeonholed or defined by specific genres. This can be seen by their releases on some of the industry’s most respected labels, such as Ministry of Sound/Sony, Kaluki, Deeperfect, and Bamboleo. While they have the industry’s best tastemakers rinsing their tunes like Hot Creations frontman Jamie Jones, Italian sensation Joseph Capriati, Music On’s iconic figurehead, Marco Carola, BBC Radio 1’s Jaguar, Eats Everything, Archie Hamilton, Rossko, Solardo and many, many more.
