Always treading on the musical periphery, Popfrenzy bring an eclectic line-up to the Domain this March with their very special live event Divine Times, co-presented with their mates Yours & Owls.

Headlining will be post-punk pioneers The Jesus and Mary Chain playing 'Psychocandy', plus performances by electro tweakers Seekae, Canadian indie darlings Alvvays, artful lo-fi pop artist U.S. Girls and the musically reimagined Jonathan Boulet.

They have rarely performed in the past decade, so we are proud to have The Jesus and Mary Chain headline Divine Times. This will be The Jesus And Mary Chain's only Sydney performance, and to celebrate its 30th anniversary they'll be playing their seminal debut album 'Psychocandy' in full plus much, much more! Donned in black leather with a riotous attitude and their back-to-basics approach to music, JAMC challenged the charts in the '80s and '90s, going on to influence bands such as Nirvana and My Bloody Valentine among others.

Producing eight-bit, synth-heavy industrial electronica, effortlessly humanised by the sultry vocals of Alex Cameron, Seekae have been electro mainstayers since forming in 2006. Recently they've been holed up in a Berlin studio working on material for the follow-up to their widely successful third album,The Worry.

Canadian outfit Alvvays won the love of many with their heart-breakingly melancholic debut album last year. Their perfect surf-tinged fuzzy pop tunes - the ideal soundtrack for modern romances or moments of self-reflective solace - will delight Australian fans during their first Down Under visit.

Scratching beyond the fabricated surface of modern living, multi-disciplinary artist Meg Remy's intrusive work as U.S Girls loads lo-fi pop with empathy-inducing emotion. The hardened heroine demands affection and complete attention with sorrow-filled yelps paired with stripped-back drum machine rhythms and sweeping synth melodies.

Recently back from three years in Europe, Jonathan Boulet traded synth melodies for heavy feedback with his 2014 indie rock effort, Gubba. This hard-stomping punk record shook the scene and tested the artist musically - to great effect.

The Big Top concert series is a licensed, all ages (16+ recommended) event. Spectrum Now Festival recommends parents/guardians should consider whether the Big Top concert is appropriate for their child and recommends that any children under 16 years of age who attend the Big Top are accompanied by their parent or guardian. Persons who are 18 years of age or older and wish to purchase alcohol MUST have valid photo ID (passport, Australian driver's license, proof of age card). Spectrum Now Festival @ The Domain welcomes and caterers for all ages, is family friendly and free to attend outside of the ticketed Big Top events.

The Sydney Morning Herald Spectrum Now Festival presented by ANZ is Sydney's newest cultural festival, returning in March 2016 for its second year. The festival is set to entertain and amaze, with free and ticketed events across art, music, stage and talks, including a limited capacity Big Top venue installed in Sydney's Domain to house 11 nights of music and comedy.
