Shorts & Sounds is back at The Basement to support the 9th Sydney Latin American Film Festival! Not only a fund-raising night, Shorts & Sounds is all about showing the latest trends in music and film, breaking stereotypes and showing the rich diversity that exists in Latin America.

An amazing line up awaits you, mixing traditional and contemporary expressions that will make it an unforgettable night. 

So pack your dancing shoes for a night of sizzling live music, salsa dancing and cutting- edge cinema.

Featuring:

Gabriela Soares  is an amazing singer able to recreate an unforgettable Bossa Nova session. Together with guests, Gabriela will perform classics from the great masters of the musical genre that placed Brazil on the map of world music.

La Brava  - will get you up on the dance floor, with their new musical outfit made up of some of Australia's finest Latin musicians. With it's musical roots firmly planted in the Afro-Cuban son tradition, the group aims to explore and adapt other popular Afro Caribbean styles a rich fusion of contemporary with traditional, laced with propelling choruses, tight harmonies, funky grooves and plenty of 'timba' style breakdowns. 

Special dance performances : By Sandrina Clement & Ifty Omar performing  Brazilian Lambazouk, 

Screening of Award-winning short films curated by the Sydney Latin American Film Festival.

Some Dinner & Show Bookings may be on a shared table. Please let us know at the time of the booking as a special request should you prefer not to share, and subject to availability we'll do our best to accommodate your request. Note it is not possible to join ticket holders together across ticket groups (meaning A Reserve ticket holders cannot sit with B Reserve etc).

A RESERVE Dinner & Show + Beverage Package also includes a selection of Premium Red & White Wine + Local and Imported Beers and is available by exclusive table service to A Reserve Ticket Holders from Doors to Show Time (usually 1930 - 2230). *RSA and conditions apply
