Sex on Toast are an 6 to 8 piece explosion who specialise in raw early 80’s funk, hard-edged new jack swing, blazing improvisation and heartfelt blue-eyed soul. Currently residing in Melbourne, Australia, their choreographed stage act, complex arrangements, performative larrikinism and danceability have won the hearts of casual punters and hardcore fans alike, all across Australia.

2015 saw the release of their single “Oh Loretta!” with an accompanying video featuringMolly Meldrum, an exploding head and the best set design this side of Soul Train.

Since 2014 Sex on Toast have performed across Australia and New Zealand at events such asFalls Festival, Woodford Folk Festival, Melbourne International Jazz Festival, Here’s To NowFestival, Coastella Festival, Melbourne International Comedy Festival, Secret GardenFestival, St. Kilda Festival, Lost Paradise, Strawberry Fields, Waheike Jazz Festival, NelsonArts Festival, Fairbridge Folk Festival and New Years on the Hill, as well as sharing stages with luminaries such as Internationally acclaimed comedian Neil Hamburger (USA), HiatusKaiyote, Kate Miller-Heidke, Mangelwurzel, Vaudeville Smash,The Bombay Royale, MiamiHorror, The Fatback Band (USA) and countless others.

2017 and 2018 saw the completion of the ambitious ‘Rough and Ready’ double EP series, 2017 began with key festival appearances and a sold out hometown show at Howler for the launch of lead single ‘4U’ as well as extensive touring of QLD, NSW and WA. In 2018 they packed Max Watt’s for the second single‘Party' and a went on a mammoth 13 date tour ofAustralia and New Zealand in support of the newly released ‘Rough’ EP. Meanwhile Oh Loretta! has amassed over 3 million streams on Spotify. 2020 sees Sex On Toast begin work on their debut album set for release in 2021.
