Harvey Geraghty, Itay Shachar and Noah Martin met in their early years at Sydney’s Newtown High School of the Performing Arts. They became fast friends and began to busk around Sydney, their burgeoning band bound together by long hours carting their instruments around the city. In late 2015, The Lazy Eyes decided to formalise the band as a unit, a decision that coincided neatly with their meeting of Leon Karagic, who provided much-needed bass to their ensemble.
Off the back of their first two EPs, released in 2020 and 2021, The Lazy Eyes have sold out numerous shows along Australia’s east coast, including their own music festival, Lazyfest; garnered praise from outlets including KCRW, FBi Radio, triple j Unearthed, BBC 6 Music and Radio 1, and NME. Their reputation continues to grow despite the fact that jaunts at SXSW and The Great Escape were cancelled in light of the pandemic.
Apricot Ink is a project from Canberra based musicians and producers. Taking influences from Dub, Hip Hop and Pop. They move in the alt-pop realm, whilst sprinkling danceable grooves and skank beats. Swinging 808 drums and warm toned guitars in the mix. Apricot Ink takes production influence from The XX and Mac Miller, as well as drawing from BENEE for a pop balance.
Jet City Sports Club are a 4-piece indie/pop/rock outfit from Sydney, Australia. They have an infectious guitar driven sound topped with shimmering vocal melodies and lead lines. Jet City Sports Club have carved a strong name for themselves in the Aussie scene in under 2 years as a band.
Sitting Down create lush and disorienting Psychedelic-Pop songs with just the right amount of grit. Taking notes from Psych Rock, Indie, Jazz and Dream-Pop, the Newcastle based 4 piece blends and bends genres in ways that are experimental and unique, all whilst maintaining clear purpose and direction with each work they create.
Lost Coast are a five-piece Post-Rock band from Canberra, Australia. Exploring the intersection between melody, riff, harmony and dynamics the band creates music that changes from sweet melody to wall-of-noise in an instant.
Hailing from Brisbane Australia, Vinted Vineer passionately provides pop-driven shimmers of spacey, washy, and simultaneously dancey indie-rock with deep-cutting grooves. Drum-focused rhythms with bombastically saturated recordings hold each psychedelic journey that are Vinted tracks together through a guitar-swirling, spiraling, rock-oriented, and riff-tastic Odessey.
