Helmed by virtuoso violinist and vocalist Satu Vänskä, the acclaimed Principal Violin with the Australian Chamber Orchestra armed with a voice that moves from ‘woozy serenader to spitballing post-punk’ (SMH),Satu In The Beyondbrings together ACO Artistic Director Richard Tognetti on electric violin, Midnight Oil’s Jim Moginie on guitar, Paul Beard on keyboards, Kiah Gossner on bass and Declan Kelly on drums to perform a uniquely intoxicating blend of genre-defying artistry and experimentation.

Featuring music by artists as diverse as Nine Inch Nails, Nick Drake, JS Bach and Richard Tognetti, this show follows sell-out gigs across Australia and abroad, from New York’s Le Poisson Rouge to Slovenia’s Maribor Festival.

Jim Moginie opens the night with his atmospheric solo guitar playing, while dj O’zopïum bring their distinctive hard-core ambience with the added visual spectacle associate artists from the renowned Sydney Dance Company.
