Riton (UK) at Rocket Bar & Rooftop!

🎡 𝐑𝐒𝐭𝐨𝐧 (π”πŠ) at Rocket Bar & Rooftop - FRI Nov 8! 🎡

--------------------------------

Riton is a chart-topper with a wicked sense of humour, whose larger-than-life club hits have defined/are defining a generation – and made/making them party hard. He’s found a firm footing at the top of the charts thanks to smashes like ‘Rinse & Repeat’, ‘Turn Me On’ and ‘Friday’ and he’s been nominated for two Grammys, winning one of those for his work on Silk City and Dua Lipa’s ‘Electricity’. And yet he’s also a maverick who has forged a unique path alongside dance music’s best. His influence across club culture is vast, stretching back decades and across myriad sounds and scenes, connecting the dots between electroclash and electro-house, UK bass and hip-house, and injecting club music with some much-needed personality.

Which leads us to the present-day Riton, a producer who is always keeping people guessing but firing on all cylinders in whatever genre he chooses. His releases on Ministry of Sound, from ‘Turn Me on ft Vula’ to ‘Friday’, with its nimble interpolation of Nightcrawler’s ‘Push The Feeling On’, have helped usher dance music back into the pop charts, recalling the golden era of electro-house and the swagger and knowing wink of producers like Benny Benassi, Switch and even Daft Punk. “I love making music that reaches people,” says Riton. “It never used to do that – now, even my mum likes it.” Still, you never know when a new krautrock record will be just around the corner...
