Pianist/composer Roberto Fonseca, The Buena Vista Social Club prodigy and Havana Cultura star, has grabbed Cuban music by the horns, and launched it into unexplored dimensions and sounds with his new global quintet. Touring his rave reviewed new album 'YO", (which means 'I" in Spanish), this tantalising work blends traditional acoustic instruments with elements of electronica, and pays homage to Cuba's African roots while striking forwards with red-hot grooves and electronic beats that flawlessly updates Cuba's musical lineage.
