Founded by Oscar Hoare and Max Thomas, and with a roster spanning indie pop, hip-hop, electronic, and hyperpop, Reason Why specialises in music that is slightly left-of-centre, developing artists and scenes with a genre-agnostic, taste-driven approach.

Reason Why combines the pair’s shared experience across the vast spectrum of the Australian and global “music” “industry” to elevate artists who are doing something special in their local scenes, deserving to be heard and recognised outside of them.
