Raechel Whitchurch 'What A Time To Be Alive' Album Launch
Join 2 x Golden Guitar nominee Raechel Whitchurch for the launch of her highly anticipated sophomore album ‘what a time to be alive’. Raechel’s live show is full of heartfelt stories, vulnerable experiences, and a quick-witted sense of humour that will immediately put you at ease. Performing her brand of wholesome trad-country with her live band (including her guitarist husband Ben and sister Savannah on backing vocals), you will laugh, cry, and feel a strange sense of nostalgia as she shares her songs.
Following on from her ARIA #1 Australian Country debut album ‘Finally Clear’, an album “full of songs that just feel like someone who understands themselves, but also knows how to write a really catchy song” (Bernard Zuel), Raechel has gone from strength to strength. She made her international debut at Ireland’s biggest folk conference, ‘Your Roots are Showing’, she was a finalist for the APRA Professional Development Awards, she’s toured with the likes of Ian Moss & The Whitlams Black Stump Band, and has performed at all of the major Australian Country Festivals.
Come and join Raechel and her band for a night of great country music, and be there on the day her newest musical offering, ‘what a time to be alive’ is released into the world.
“Raechel is a perceptive, thoughtful songwriter who deftly crafts her music to create songs that are personal yet universal – the mark of a true songwriter” – Sue Jarvis, Capital News
“[Whitchurch] has taken care to produce a truly thoughtful, beautifully written and brilliantly executed collection of songs… the sort of care that comes from an artist who takes her audience seriously” – Sophie Hamley, Sunburnt Country Music
