If you haven’t seen a live Mr Alford show we’ll describe it for you. Close your eyes and imagine you’re on a boat sailing through beautiful Caribbean islands, all your friends are there. An exotic handsome man dressed in a white suit is feeding you unsweetened organic cranberries. At the end of the boat there’s a guy in a baseball hat yelling folk country songs at you. It’s pretty much like that.

With a spellbinding song-writing ability, and time-bending musical sensibility, Mr Alford provides a thoroughly entertaining and impressive solo show. Currently Melbourne-based, Mr. Alford has a long rap sheet – from time spent cutting his teeth in Nashville bars, to collaborating with members of the Carter family, to the Malaysian Symphony Orchestra, his diverse experience explains his ability to enrapture any audience, come for the music and stay for the banter. With 5 albums currently under his belt and the 6th on the way, his songs cover many themes and reflect his vast experience on the road, with a sound steeped in all aspects and eras of folk country music and traditional to modern bluegrass.
