Movements Australian Tour 2018
with special guests
Eat Your Heart Out
"We want our listeners to hear our music and feel something deeper than the everyday run-of-the-mill emotions."
- Patrick, Movements
Music and emotion share a timeless physiological, psychological, and spiritual bond. A chord, a melody, or a lyric can lift spirits and inspire. Movements, the Southern Californian quartet achieve that sort of reaction with their music and are thrilled to announce their first national Australian tour in August with special guests, Eat Your Heart Out. The tour will see them hitting all major cities across the country as well as Wollongong and Newcastle.
Formed by longtime friends, Movements landed a deal with Fearless Records after just one local gig. Movements weave spacey guitars, evocative and introspective lyricism, ponderous spoken word, and tight song craft in their music. They teamed up with Will Yip (Tigers Jaw, Title Fight, Turnover, Citizen) to produce their debut EP, Outgrown Things and their full-length LP, Feel Something (out via Fearless Records). Acclaimed by the likes of Alternative Press and New Noise Magazine, songs like "Daylily", "Full Circle" and "Colorblind" have amassed over 5.4 million Spotify streams combined as they have toured nonstop. They are currently on tour with the Vans Warped tour through out North America.
Supported by Newcastle's own, Eat Your Heart Out who's music is described as a mix of emo energy, punk power and pop melodies. The quintet have released two EPs - Distance Between Us (2015) and Carried Away (2017), inked a deal with Fearless Records and have supported artists such as Simple Plan, Columbus, Trophy Eyes to name a few. Everything paved way for the group's 2017 EP, Mind Games [Fearless Records], which shows the band aren't afraid to open up.
See Movements bring emotion to life on these shows this coming August.
