Monet’s Pond ‘Bloom’ Launch Party
Monet’s Ponds’ dreamy soundscapes are coming to Woolly Mammoth’s Mane stage on the 9th of June to celebrate her upcoming release ‘Bloom’. It will be a night that will transport you into a sugary pond of pop psychedelia. The project of 19- year- old Brigette Lawrence emerged in July 2021, when she debuted her single ‘Floating In Air’. The track received support from the likes of the Queensland Music Awards, radio play from Triple J and Unearthed TOPS which included a 4.5 star rating from presenter Declan Byrne. What followed was a huge lineup of shows for the 19- year- old and her band, including Yonder Festival and Concrete Jungle at Meanjin’s own Princess theatre.
Monet's Pond's newest release 'Bloom' marks a new direction and vision for the artist. The swirling synths are reminiscent of her debut, but melded with ear-wormy hooks and refined production. It serves as a reminder to blossom in your own way regardless of the approval of others. Accompanied by the ethereal Fleur Fatale and Charlotte Marnee (a full female fronted lineup) patrons are in for a treat.
