Kick into summer with a fun night of cool jazz & swing classics from singer Meredith O’Reilly & The Mezzanines trio. 

Meredith’s wide vocal range flips from a powerful & controlled belt to a sultry whisper with ease. Her musical influences include Julie London, Ella Fitzgerald, Dave Brubeck, Renee Geyer, Cleo Laine, Blossom Dearie & Georgie Fame. 

Her band of jazz legends Peter Locke, Greg Royal & Ron Lemke will blow you away with their effortless mastery & toe-tapping groove.


VOCALS
MEREDITH O’REILLY

Meredith performs regularly with jazz pianist Peter Locke, has fronted Big Bands Tres Mambo & Horns Plus (Manly & Dubbo Jazz Festivals) for over a decade and more recently, occasional guest appearances with the Dan Barnett Big Band & legendary trumpeter, Billy Burton &  his All Stars.

Meredith’s cabaret, Curtains! about her showbiz ups and downs was seen at Sydney’s Glen St Theatre, Q Theatre & The Bondi Cabaret Festival in 2019/20. In 2025 it will be presented again at Glen St, Casula, Chatswood and regional theatres.

In 2019-2024 Meredith performed 5 sold out cabarets at Sydney’s “Claire's Kitchen”.

Meredith is a Helpmann & Greenroom-nominated Music Theatre performer in major musicals such as Les Mis, Hello Dolly!, Rocky Horror Show, The Producers, Sound of Music &My Fair Lady across Australia & New Zealand. 

This year she toured Sydney, NSW and Victoria with Wendy Harmer and John Field’s new smash hit musical, The Grandparents Club. She will also be seen in the return season in 2025.

KEYS
PETER LOCKE

Peter Locke is one of Australia's most highly respected jazz pianists, musical directors and accompanists and is in high demand due to the impressive depth of the jazz tradition in his playing. Peter studied with and is a protege of piano master Chuck Yates.

He is a particular favorite as a brilliant accompanist of singers.

Peter performs regularly with Dan Barnett’s Big Band, singer Gregg Arthur, Brad Childs Swing-Era Big Band, John Morrisons Swing City Big Band, Society Syncopators (Melb),  Andrew Dickesons Blue Rhythm Band, Sh! Jazz Quartet (Bowral), the Mell-o-Tones and the New Wolverine Jazz Orchestra, and is often pianist of choice with Bob Henderson, Geoff Power, Adrian Cunningham, Bill Burton, Renato Marcon & Andrew Dickeson. 

Peter was resident pianist in the late Bob Barnards Quartet for the last ten years before Bobs retirement from the stage.


BASS
GREG ROYAL

Greg’s list of live performance, TV, and recording credits include Chris Isaacks, Jimmy Barnes, Ian Moss, Glenn Shorrock, Kate Ceberano, Wendy Matthews, Jessica Mauboy, Christine Anu, Rick Price, Tom Burlinson, Tambalane, James Freud, Lee Kernigan, James Blundell, James Morrison, Jazz Trumpeter, Bobby Shew and Saxophonist, Bob Mintzer from The Yellow Jackets and The Sydney Allstar Big Band to name just a few.

 Greg was Musical Director for the Fox 8 TV series, The Singing Office, which was awarded an Astra Award for the Most Outstanding Light Entertainment Program in 2008. He has also appeared on Australian Idol playing Double Bass from 2003 –2008, the ABC’s O’Loghlin On Saturday Night (2nd series), John Foreman’s Big Night In on Channel 10, Channel 7’s Battle Of The Choirs, The annual Australia Day Live concert at The Opera House, and numerous other one off TV appearances with a variety of artists.

 Greg has also appeared as a musician in two feature films. ‘Dust Off The Wings’ 1997, ‘Clubland’, Internationally known as ‘Introducing the Dwights’ 2007, and Channel 7’s telemovie ‘Not the Boy Next Door’ 2015.


DRUMS
RON LEMKE

Accomplished drummer & percussionist Ron Lemke has played in some of Australia’s top jazz groups including Col Loughnan’s “Endeavour”, Trevor Griffin sextet, Judy Bailey quartet, Bob Bertle’s quintet and Dave Levy quartet.

Ron has backed many overseas musicians including Randy Brecker, Clifford Jordan, Mundell Lowe, Bobby Shew, Ernestine Anderson, and has also toured widely through South East Asia.

Sydney theatre Productions include West Side Story, Les Miserables, Tivoli, The Producers and Chicago.

Ron has toured Australia with international stars Chita Rivera and Lorna Luft.

As a member of the original Sydney Jazz Quintet, Ron has toured extensively throughout Australia for Music Viva, performing school concerts and conducting workshops.
