A not-to-be missed tribute to The Motels and Divinyls

Up to the late 70s rock bands were all about the boys.  Then suddenly there were women who were starting to write their own music and rock, really rock.  These women were cool, sexy and fearless.  Martha Davis of The Motels , and Chrissy Amphlett of Divinyls, both emerged as prominent women in the New Wave music scene of the late 70s and early 80s crafting a distinct sound that blended rock, pop, punk, characterized by edgy guitar riffs and vocals that expressed vulnerability and defiance in equal measure.  Their sound was dynamic, the songs heartfelt yet edgy, all infused with a rebellious and provocative attitude.

Live and Dangerous pays tribute to these two great artists who unashamedly did it their way.  Fronted by the charismatic and energetic, Max Anton of Simply Divinyls, and backed by exceptional musicians: Jim Astley & Jonny Fraser (guitars), Mik Mateljan (bass), Steve Cuninghame (keys) and Dave Every (drums), you will hear the best of both bands sprinkled with some of their stories.  From Take the L, and Total Control, through to Boys in Town and I Touch Myself, this is a show that will reignite some of the best songs (and memories) of our time.
