In the leadup to the launch of their debut album “Fiesta de Corazon” in November, La Descarga Band is thrilled to announce the release of their single and video, “Cumbia de Corazon” on Friday, 6 September, from 8:00 PM at Shotkickers in the heart of Thornbury. The event will be supported by vintage tropical vinyl priestess DJ Emma Peel, who will spin treasure tunes from the golden days of Colombian tropical music.

"Cumbia de Corazon is a heartfelt tribute to Colombia and a dedication to Australia, crafted in the infectious rhythm of Cumbia. It's all about our journey, our emotions, and just celebrating where we come from while enjoying where we are now” says Jorge Leiva, band leader.

The “Cumbia de Corazon” video will top the night, a colourful splash of togetherness, filmed in vibrant, familiar locations, highlighting the power of shared culture and community collaboration. Shot by the rising talent Cesar Miranda Bautista, the video promises to be a stunning highlight, bringing the sounds, energy and spirit of “Cumbia de Corazon” to life.
