Event Details

We've assembled an eclectic line up of local and international heads at Altar Bar on Thursday 19th December to help with the collective zombie-like stagger towards the festive season finish line:

Pencil Pines is the new electronic project from local power couple Steve Rose and Madeleine Laing (Free Live Sports, 208l Containers) In this case, pedigree definitely counts for something! (Not the pet food)

Kimi Nakagawa is a Tokyo-based musician currently performing around Australia (for the second time) who plays Okinawan traditional folk tunes as well as her own material on the shashin or three stringed banjo. She studied for two years in Okinawa It's her first ever show in lutruwita.

Local trio Mainlanders formed during the pandemic and have since established a low-key reputation for inflicting irreversible enlightenment on unsuspecting citizens. They play new-age music backwards.

And headlining is the devastating Baltimore Charlot, no stranger to the nipaluna cognoscenti with her sexxed up DIY electro bangers and accompanying hi-nrg stage show.

As if that wasn't enough, the event will also include a PRE XMAS DEAD MERCH MARKET. Bring along your leftover records and tapes, t-shirts and stubbie coolers, art projects, etc to sell or trade. Limited tables provided!
Just bring a square device or some good old fashioned cash. Perfect for last minute, local Xmas gifts!
