Young Sydney producer Kilter kicked off his ‘Shades’ EP tour in spectacular style last Friday, selling out a heaving Oxford Art Factory in Sydney and Shebeen in Melbourne. Due to overwhelming demand, Kilter has now added an extra seven shows to his Australian and New Zealand tour. Kilter released his ‘Shades’ EP last Friday and it immediately shot to #13 on the iTunes album chart and #2 on the iTunes Electronic chart.
With his track 'They Say' getting love across the board at triple j, Kilter, has now dropped his follow up single 'Alive Again' featuring Canberra rapper, Citizen Kay. 'Alive Again' is out today on iTunes with exclusive remixes from Salute and POOLCLVB.
Kilter's sophomore EP 'Shades' is an all Australian affair, featuring guest vocals from Citizen Kay, Ev Jones and Ngaiire, 'Shades' is set to cement Kilter's place as one of the most exciting electronic producers coming out of Australia.
"Shades is an accomplished and modern offering that establishes Kilter as an exceptional Australian electronic producer. His mastery of atmospherics and sharp percussive instincts, along with his now-trademark use of the steel drum have helped the young muso explore new parameters for dance music Down Under." - Music Feeds
Kilter's infectious and atmospheric sounds have been driving people to the dance floor, but it is his live show that keeps them dancing and sets the electronic whiz kid apart. With an MPC, synths, microKorg and drum kit in tow, his show is a live manifestation that speaks volumes for Kilter as not just a skilled producer, but also as a talented musician.
