Jack Harlon & The Dead Crows announce their Australian tour after the release of their sophomore album ‘The Magnetic Ridge’. - Melbourne, Victoria.

The band will be setting out on their Australian album release tour aptly dubbed ‘The Magnetic Ridge Tour’ from the 30th of May 2021.

Jack Harlon & The Dead Crows have been active in Psych/Doom scene since 2015.

The band originally began as a bedroom project of singer and guitarist Tim Coutts-Smith.

JHATDC’s music touches on influences of psych rock, fuzz tones and spaghetti western films.

Throughout their career they have toured Australia multiple times and performed with acts such as Greenleaf (Sweden), Wo Fat (USA), Hobo Magic, Comacozer and Holy Serpent.

Jack Harlon’s music has been described as
"A soundtrack to a Tarantino movie set in the landscape of an outlaw’s travels across the barren desert, high on peyote and searching for a way back to planet earth. A heavy, trippy, fuzzy record full of bluesy doom and hooligan twang."  - Jay Morgan – High Desert valley Radio

‘The Magnetic Ridge’ is the long awaited follow up to the band’s debut release 'Hymns' which reached #14 on the Doom Charts worldwide. All of the band’s music delves into the trials and tribulations of a drug addicted western outlaw ‘Jack Harlon’ who is questioning the reality of the experiences placed before him.

‘Rat Poisoning’ is the first of the singles for The Magnetic Ridge. It is a 6 and a half minute jam-track about living, and feeling like a rat while trying to create something beautiful.

Album Reviews:

“Coming 3 years after acclaimed debut album ‘Hymns’, this album sees the band expand their gloomy style of music. The band play a different style of Psych Rock, Doom and Stoner Rock with a slight “Americana” and Experimental edge to their psyche.” – Steve Howe – Outlaws Of The Sun

Been waiting for this and it didn’t disappoint. There’s some All Them Witches vibes on this one but Jack Harlon really come into their own when they stomp on that fuzz box and let it rip. The perfect mix of chill and LOUD” – Jonny Pirie – Hour Of The Riff.
