JVLY is an Australian artist who makes chilled electro-R&B/Soul music that can be likened to a mix between Charlotte Day Wilson, Galimatias, Tom Misch and Rhye.

Back in 2018 he released a very impressive debut ep titled “Ache” which helped solidify his name within the global music scene and pave the way for the next phase of his career, and later that year he teamed up with Mammal Sounds Records for the release of two vibrant stand-alone singles, ‘Blue Pill’ (feat. SARAI) and ‘milk&honey’ (feat. Una Mey).

In 2019 Kayle Butler began working on his next ep, “inside weather”, and before the year was out he gave us its first single ‘tacenda’ which is currently one of his best releases to date with over 700,000 streams on Spotify alone. Over the following months he gave us a few more lead-singles – ‘me&her’, ‘monsoon’ & ‘aporia’ – as he continued the anticipation build for the ep’s release in June 2020.

JVLY closed out 2020 with an exceptional single titled ‘windless’ which was a collaborative release with fellow Australian artist edapollo (which has since collected over 740,000 streams) as well as a remix of his song ‘tacenda’ which saw him working with Gold Coast trio daste. (who are also on the Mammal Sounds management roster) and has collected over 1.1 million streams on Spotify alone.

Throughout 2021 Kayle tried to make the most of the lockdowns by taking time out to explore different sounds, song-writing styles and production techniques, then back in December he gave us a little taste of what he had been working on with an exceptional new single titled ‘swim’ that was released via German indie-label, Majestic Casual Records.

Off the back of that he began working on the next phase of his musical journey and now has a tidy collection of songs that he will be sharing with us throughout 2023, with the help of his new distribution partner, Believe Music. He has given us three new singles so far this year with ‘ambien’, ‘tacit’ and ‘here’, and he’s also promised there is a new ep in the works.

Stay tuned!
