Five Coffees - is a funk/hip-hop band from Sydney. The band consists of live horns, MC and rhythm section. Formed by saxophonist Dean Adams (current saxophonist for Skunkhour), the band mixes traditional funk beats with hip-hop vocals. They have been referred to as the love child of The Cat Empire and the Hilltop Hoods. Feature track Johnnie Walker has had over 2000 plays on Triple J Unearthed. They have also recently been internationally featured on New York hip hop radio station One Love. Former Basement booker Andrew Masterson said Five Coffees were "by far the best band" he discovered in Sydney.
Dear Scarlett- a new project started at the end of 2021 by crew members features Bruno (Lead guitar/Vocals), Gus (Bass), Paul (Drummer), Tony (Keys), and Eugene (Sax). These guys crank up the sound and get the vibes groovy while staying true to those sexy rock vibes. Based in the Inner West, they've been getting their gig on in the second half of 2022 at venues Bootleggers, the Petersham bowling club, and the Agincourt with much more planned for 2023. They recently started recording their first EP with Northwest Records and plan on releasing two epic singles in early 2023.
