Exosquelette EP Launch w/ D. Rogers & Half Asian

Come celebrate Exosquelette’s first ever four song EP “Friends At First Sight”.

They’re going to expand the band a bit, to match some of the sounds on the E.P.

And their friends D. Rogers & Half Asian are going to be there.

“Friends At First Sight” was recorded with Nick Huggins at his Resting Bell Studio in Point Lonsdale. The songs were mostly built around casiotone beats, but unfolded into something bigger once they found ourselves surrounded by drums and pianos and amplifiers. There’s a lot of glockenspiel action too.

Some people have played songs from it on RRR radio and words that seem to have come up a few times are “Adorable”, “Cute” and “Sweet”.

But there’s also some introspection in there, like their latest song “Life is About Grief”.

Overall, it’s a real glock-n-roll experience.

Maybe you will be “Friends At First Sight” too.

La Biographie d'Exosquelette

Exosquelette are a new duo from Naarm-Melbourne with synth, ukulele, glockenspiel, drum pads, and singing.

Tempo Music blog described their first single release as “fast, fun and it’s full of joyous pop melodies”. RRR broadcaster Fee Bee Squared said it was “Super cute”, and Kate Kingsmill said “How sweet is that?”

They mix French and Australian language, like a croissant filled with BBQ shapes.

Their raison d’etre is hooks and beats. Their mission is to create whimsical bangers.

Their recurring themes are modern love and sea creatures.
