The Oxford Art Factory and I OH YOU are very pleased to announce that New York-based singer and songerwriter EMPRESS OF will be bringing her R&B and latin-infused blend of pop and electronica to the Oxford Art Factory on the 24th January 2016. 

Born in Los Angeles, Empress Of (a.k.a. Lorely Rodriguez) released her debut record Me in September 2015; written, performed, recorded and engineered entirely by Rodriguez over the course of 2014 in New York, Montreal and Mexico City.

Released to critical acclaim, Me has launched Rodriguez into the stratosphere picking up the Stereogum Album of the Week and Pitchfork recounting that "she's (Rodriguez) stepping up as an avant-R&B auteur with pop star potential-like a Bj rk unleashing her inner Beyonc " and has seen her head out on tour across Europe and the UK with Purity Ring and recently finish fresh off a run of dates in the USA, including a couple with Glass Animals.

She now announces her debut visit to Australian shores with the Sugar Mountain Festival in Melbourne as well as playing shows with British electronic maestros Hot Chip in Brisbane and Perth.
