Duke of George presents
Eastwinds
A silky-voiced improvising singer from Estonia, a virtuoso Iranian flautist and percussionist, a Japanese didgeridooist, an English guitarist and his jazz bassist son, and an Australian woodwind maestro and creator of uncountable reed and woodwind instruments - if Australian multicultural music has a name, that name is Eastwinds.
Exquisite melodies, sophisticated rhythms, free-spirited improvisation and eclectic originality will transport you to a new geography of sound. Winners of the 2016 WAM Song of the Year Award (World Music) and recent performers at both the National Folk Festival, Canberra and Fairbridge Festival WA, Eastwindsare international boundary riders breathing new life into old traditions.
