Eastbound Buzz + Telescreen
LIVE IN THE BASEMENT // FREE ENTRY
Started as a collaboration between childhood friends from Wagga Wagga, Eastbound Buzz’s brand of Americana-tinged alt-rock occupies the musical territory between 1970’s Springsteen and Petty, and the gritty blues-rock tendencies of the early 2000’s post-punk revival. Following the release of their debut EP Opportunity Shop, which received national airplay and garnered significant attention, Eastbound Buzz are back with new single ‘Lost in the Shuffle’. The song marks an evolution of the band’s sound, marrying the Americana feel of the EP with a strong 80’s new wave influence. The Melbourne boys are excited to share the new single with live audiences, and will be hitting the road in September and October to bring their electric live show to cities across New South Wales and Victoria.
In the little over 18 months since they formed, Melbourne indie-pop band Telescreen have
been quick to make a name for themselves in the Melbourne music scene. The first half of
2018 saw the band sell out their first ever live show and work alongside renowned Australian
producer Dean Tuza (Stella Donnelly, The Rubens, A. Swayze & The Ghosts) to deliver the
first taste of their euphonious Telescreen sound - the release of their two track 7” vinyl which
featured their popular debut single ‘Crowded’ Likened to their sonic influencers The Strokes and Methyl Ethel.
We acknowledge the Yaluk-ut Weelam people as the First People of this land on which we live, love and play.
