TAS And THC Kingpin Dunn D returns to Bris with his guitar for "Acoustic Sessions" back to back With Perth OG and SBX VETs Matty B and Optamus for The Chronica Album Launch

After packing out his own album launch in November and playing a string of shows in Perth and regional Western One of the most prolific emcees to come out of Tasmania has now combined his lyrical talents with his acoustic skills to bring a new sound to Australian music. Seasoned Tasmanian rapper Dunn D started raising a few eyebrows as an MC in the live funk-flavoured hip-hop band "Unleash The Nugget" throughout early 2002. Which led to the expansion into crews like Heads of State; Mic Dons; Loose Cannons; and then all of the World Class rap battles, Australian and International. Dunn D released his sophomore album, "The Pelican L.P.," with production from Hobart heavyweights DaVinci & Mdusu and guest features from Manaz Ill, Greeley, and Fluence. The Pelican L.P. is a fresh take on the style Dunn is renowned for. Over the years, Dunn has racked up numerous support gigs. This is a testament to his passion for live performance. He has performed alongside the likes of: GZA, Xzibit, Chali 2na, Funkoars, Bliss n Eso, Illy, Koolism, D’Opus & Roshambo, The Herd, Simplex, Muph & Plutonic, K21, Classified, Pegz, Snob Scrilla, Urthboy & Downsyde, to name a few. Matty B is back on the mic and means business! After a long break from the game, Matty B, the Perth hip-hop pioneer and Syllabolics Crew member who brought you the song "Fridays," has been in the studio working hard on his new 15-track full-length album, Chronica. This was released on November 21st on all streaming platforms, CD, and Vinyl, and features an all-star cast of top Australian rap artists. The list includes SBX members Optamus, Drapht, Dazastah, Bitter Belief, Rob Shaker, and Mortar. Production from Uncool Sam (TPW), Pauly P., and Melbourne features from Bias B. and Tommy Baker. Matty will be performing in Brisbane on February 17th. After packing out his own album launch in November and playing a string of shows in Perth and regional Western Australia, it’s safe to say Matty B is well and truly back in the game. Witness this newly energised and up-skilled MC's lyrical genius onstage at a top Brisbane venue (ITS STILL A SECRET 48 Montague Rd., South Brisbane), hyped by longtime pit boss Optamus (Downsyde).
