Need 2 Freak Chief Wongo join us in the iconic and newly refurbished Grand Garden for our 2nd Instalment and long weekend special of Dayja-Vu. A Wollongong fan favourite returns to get the party amped up to the MAX + we welcome Eora’s rising talent Hilton for a Wollongong double header.

WONGO - Defined by his bowl-cut, shirtless dance moves & ability to turn any scene into a party, Wongo is more than the life of the party. The Australian DJ/Producer has been cultivating the current state of house music through his music, Need2Freak events, and Box of Cats, a globally recognised record label owned and run by Wongo alongside Kyle Watson. 

When he’s not hosting his own show on Insomniac’s radio or building the new Need2Freak Records, you can find him collaborating with world-class artists the likes of A-Trak, Yolanda Be Cool, Little Fritter, Born Dirty, Cut Snake, and many more. 

In addition to his extensive catalogue of collaborations, Wongo has an even more impressive resume of solo releases that boasts over 12 million streams with chart topping singles such as Caught Up, Dance All Day, Dangerzone, not to mention his latest record Apple, a triple j radio favourite which was recently the #1 most played record on the station. 

Wongo’s widespread touring has seen him perform all over the world, landing major plays at World renowned festivals such as Electric Daisy Carnival, Lights All night, Grass is Greener and Insomniac’s Countdown NYE.
