Cloud Control 'Bliss Release 15 Year Anniversary Tour'
Cloud Control, the Blue Mountains band who soundtracked a generation, are reuniting in 2025 to celebrate 15 years of their debut album Bliss Release. Welcoming back their founding bassist Jeremy Kelshaw, the band will play together live in their original line up, for the first time in over a decade. Known for their lush harmonies, psych-folk sound, and compelling live shows, the band will launch the first of their 2025 anniversary celebrations at River Sounds festival, performing Bliss Release, front to back, as a special tribute to the record that opened the world for them.
Their debut album Bliss Release (2010) made waves everywhere; receiving huge support from both community and national radio, and earning critical acclaim and accolades including the Australian Music Prize, AIR Independent Album of the Year, Sydney Music Arts & Culture award, and ARIA nominations. Tracks like “Gold Canary” and “There’s Nothing in the Water We Can’t Fight,” which reached #18 in the Triple J Hottest 100, became indie anthems that established Cloud Control as staple of Australian festival lineups with a reputation as a formidable live band. The album’s local success also struck a chord internationally and saw Cloud Control relocate to London and tour extensively across Europe and the US, sharing stages with acts like Supergrass, Vampire Weekend, Metronomy, The Drums, Foo Fighters, Local Natives, and Weezer.
Now, 15 years later, Cloud Control are reuniting to celebrate the album that started it all with a national tour.
Whether you’re revisiting the music or discovering it for the first time, the Bliss Release anniversary era in 2025 marks a chance for fans new and old to revisit a record that holds a special legacy in Australian music history.
