Castlecomer have kicked off their 2016 with the release of "The Noise", the first single from their upcoming EP "All of the Noise" out later this year.
Having seen huge international viral success from their 2015 hit "Fire Alarm" garnering over 800,000 Spotify streams in under 7 months. The boys then followed that up with a 7" Double A Side Vinyl with the tune "Escapism", which was added to the 'Triple J Hitlist' playlist on Spotify and received airplay on the station.
Castlecomer have spent the start of 2016 in the studio with Scott Horscroft, supported SAFIA early in the year and are now excited to announce their own short run of east coast shows before heading to the US for a few months.
"I wanted to write a song that was a wall of noise - it's never been a problem for this band to play loud, but I wanted a chorus that could really soar high and feel like it could lose control, but the bass and drums keep it grounded and running. The Noise refers to everything in the world that is less important than being happy with the person, or the people, you love. For us it is an ode to the power of women." Bede Kennedy (Castlecomer)
"[Escapism] is a thumping piece of indie rock'n'roll, with driving drums and scuzzy guitars making it instantly dance-able, and damn catchy." Pilerats
