Ben Preece, Time Off 2008 2008 ARIA nominees and Australia's best young indie rock band, British India are hitting the road in February 2009 to promote their new single 'God Is Dead' due for release Monday February 9th.God Is Dead tour runs nonstop through country towns and cities from February through to April and will be followed by their second trip to the U.K. British India exploded onto the Australian pop scene in July 2007 with their debut album Guillotine and followed just 12 months later with their 2nd album Thieves. Guillotine picked up the gong for Best Independent release at the 2007 AIR AWARDS and Thieves debuted at #5 in the national ARIA Album Chart and #1 in the AIR chart.
The album s was nominated for Best Independent Release at the 2008 ARIA Awards. Their first single I Said Im Sorry was added to high rotation on Triple j and has been added to national airplay with Nova FM and Video Hits. The boys sold out their debut UK show in September 2008 at The Borderline, in London's West End. 300 people packed the popular West End nightspot for an electric performance from the band. The show received strong industry interest and British India is now negotiating a UK album release for 2009. British Indias new video / single 'God Is Dead' will be released on February 9th.
